🎤 Interview with Noa Glunk – A Young Talent on the Rising

Determined, focused, and full of passion – Noa Glunk is one of the promising young names making his mark on the Swiss motocross scene. With every race, he gains experience and continues to impress with his dedication and style on the bike.

We spoke with Noa about his journey so far, his goals for the season, and what drives him to push harder every weekend. Get to know the rider behind the helmet in this exclusive interview.

MXM- Let’s start at the beginning – how did you first get into motocross?

NG- Even as a kid, I was constantly riding my bike off-road. One day, my dad got a small motocross bike for me and my brother – and from that moment on, I was hooked. The mix of technique, speed, and adrenaline grabbed me right away.

MXM- What motivates you to keep pushing in such a demanding sport?

NG- I love the challenge – both physically and mentally. And of course, being around my friends in the sport. But also the small improvements, working on the bike, optimizing every corner – all of that keeps me motivated every single day.

MXM- You had strong results this season, especially in Wohlen and Ebersecken. What clicked for you i

NG- Everything just came together in those races: the setup, the start, the confidence in the bike – and I was mentally 100% focused. In Wohlen, I had a great start, and in Ebersecken I was able to hold my line from start to finish.

MXM- The race in Broc was key in taking the lead. How did that weekend go for you?

NG- I had a really good feeling before the race because i knew the track was going to be good and yeah, i had fun and that was the key for winning.

MXM- How do you prepare for a race weekend – mentally and physically?

NG- Mentally, I work a lot with visualization – I picture the track and every step of the process in detail. Physically, it’s all about strength, endurance, and mobility. And good recovery is just as important as hard training.

MXM- What’s your training routine like during the week?

NG- I train two to three times a week – depending on the phase of the season. That includes Pilates, endurance, and MX track time. Recovery and stretching are also a fixed part of the routine.

MXM- Describe your feeling when crossing the finish line in first place.

NG- It’s indescribable. It’s that moment when weeks of hard work pay off. You hear the engine, see the checkered flag – and for a second, everything else fades away. Pure goosebumps.

MXM- Do you work closely with a coach or mechanic, or are you more hands-on with your bike?

NG- No, I like working on the bike myself. It’s important for me to know it inside and out – it gives me more trust and confidence during the race.

MXM- What do you think sets you apart from other riders in your category?

NG- I think it’s my experience and consistency. I don’t lose my head in stressful situations and always try to get the best out of every race – no matter the conditions.

MXM- Which track in Switzerland is your favorite – and why?

NG- I really like Amriswil – the soil, the jumps, the atmosphere… it just has the full package. It’s

technically demanding but still has a great flow.

MXM- If you could race anywhere in the world, where would it be?

NG- Glen Helen in California. The legend, the huge hills, the speed – that would be an absolute dream.

MXM- What’s one thing fans don’t see that makes a big difference behind the scenes?

NG- Definitely the work behind the scenes: training, nutrition, bike prep, logistics, working with

sponsors… it all takes a huge amount of time and energy – but without it, nothing works.

MXM- Any goals for the rest of the 2025 season or beyond?

NG- want to keep winning consistently and continue developing technically. The joy of riding should never get lost, and I hope to stay injury-free.

MXM- And finally – what advice would you give to young riders dreaming of competing one day?

NG- Be patient, stick with it – even when things don’t go your way. And most importantly: have fun riding. If the passion is real, the success will come with time.
