In this interview, he shares his routine, challenges, and dreams for the future — offering a glimpse into the life of a rider who truly lives and breathes motocross.
MXM - First things first — when and how did you start riding motocross? What got you into the sport?
NW - When i was 5years old me and my Dad went to Motocross Wohlen. I always talked about how bad I wanted a bike but we couldn’t afford one back then. When i turned 8, my Mom and Dad bought me my first bike, the
happiest day of my life. Since then i‘m into it and always have my dad with me.
MXM - Which category are you currently racing in?
NW - I‘m constantly riding in the mx2, some days when races arent so far away i‘m also lining up in the open group to get better and learn more
MXM - And what’s your bike setup this season?
NW - I actually dont have a „Setup“ My bike is fully stock and nothing changed on it. But there is a lot planned with the suspension and the whole bike.
MXM - What does your race weekend normally look like?
Any routines or rituals before the gate drops?
NW - So the weekends always starts at Thursday. Me and my Dad are packing all the stuff so we are ready to go on friday after work. When we arrived at the race we unload whatever has to do with the camper so we can Chill, i always drink a lot water the day before the races it‘s just a routine i have since i started racing. Before the gate drops i always listen to aggressive music. Thats because it helps me to focus and really fight into the front.
MXM - What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Any podiums, special moments, or races you’ll never forget?
NW - There were some podiums the last two years, but i wouldn’t say that i had a highlight because i‘m not even close where i wanna be in this sport.
MXM - What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a rider — mentally or physically?
NW - My biggest challenge is arm pump. I still didn’t figured out why, we talked with doctors with mental coaches with trainers but we didn’t came to a point. My racing is good until i get to the point where I can’t even brake anymore. That‘s something really hard for me but i still give my best tho!
MXM - How do you balance motocross with school, work or other responsibilities?
NW - So i‘m very lucky with my Boss at work, he also drove Motocross and knows that it's very important to be on the bike atleast once a week. He lets me go 2 hours earlier so i can go to the track wich im also very thankfull for.
MXM - Do you have a team or mechanic behind you, or do you manage everything with family/friends?
NW - No i dont have a Team. I do everything with my Dad. He is also the one who manages everything with sponsorships and all the other stuff. He is the one wo takes care of my bike since i started. I fully trust him in whatever he‘s doing.
MXM - How do you prepare during the week (training, fitness, nutrition)?
NW -i‘m going on the bicycle one a week and eating healthy so my body is fit and has enough energy. I‘m also going to the Gym where i do many different exercises once a week. And on tuesday or thursday i‘m always trying to go on the bike.
MXM - What are your goals for the rest of the 2025 season?
NW - I started with wanting to be the championship winner in the mx2 class. Wich started very good but ended early because of private problem wich took me a little bit of the bike. I took a short summer break and see the rest races as a training.
MXM - And finally… what does motocross mean to you?
NW - Motocross is my life. People know me as a motocross driver. I put everything into it and live for this sport, everytime i hop on the bike it gives me peace wich i cant find somewhere else. I hope my addiction to this sport never ends and i can ride with my future kids.
