🎤 Interview with Bryan Schmucki – 125cc Championship Leader

At just 17 years old, Bryan Schmucki has emerged as the rider to beat in the Junior 125 class this season. After several consistent performances, including key wins, the young Herisau-based KTM rider holds a 5-point lead in the standings as the season heads into its second half.

We spoke to Bryan about his mindset, the competition, and how he’s handling the pressure of being at the top.

MXM- About the current season…

How do you feel about your season so far in the Junior 125 class?


BS- Im feeling very comfortable right now.

MXM- What has been your personal highlight of the season until now?


BS- Of course my first podium this year with the p3 overall in Cossonay this year.

MXM- The Junior 125 class is known for being fast and unpredictable. How do you see the level of competition this year?


BS- The top 5 in the 125 class is pretty tuff. 

MXM- Are there any riders who have pushed you more than expected?


BS- Not really, everyone is pushing hard.

MXM- You're racing with a KTM — how has the bike been performing this year?


BS- I am super happy with my bike so far!

MXM- Do you feel completely in tune with the bike, or are there still things you're adjusting as the season progresses?


BS- Since my new suspension set up i am super happy with the bike. 

MXM- What does a normal training week look like for you during the season?


BS- I am Training hard every evening after work, sometimes i am very tired because of work.

MXM- How do you balance riding, fitness and recovery?


BS- With diffrent training.


MXM- Have you changed anything in your preparation this year compared to last?


BS- I am way more in the gym building muscles since my crash last year.


MXM- What are your goals and expectations for the remaining races?


BS- My goals are always nave fun and sure is keep standing on the Podium.


MXM- Are you already thinking about 2026 — maybe moving up to a new category?

BS- Yes next year i wil race in inter mx2. 

MXM- What would winning the Junior 125 title mean to you personally?


BS- It would mean alot to me. I had a lot of bad luck the last years with broken bikes with big injurys and more. So it would be a great memory for me.

MXM- Is there anyone you'd like to thank or any message you’d like to share with your fans and supporters? 


BS- First of all i wanna thank my Parents, my mom and dad who are giving everything for me that i can live my dream. Thanks for everything i love you!

Also my Family, my sister, my girlfriend who is always there for me.

My brother from an other mother, Sidney Keller, who is always there for me in good times and in bad times. And of course my best friends.
